Police say a Pennsylvania man broke into a house and stole $200 worth of valuables after he peeked inside the residence and noticed that the occupant was dead.
St. Marys police say 39-year-old Richard Pounds Jr. pried open a window Sunday afternoon and then stole a safe, two cellphones, a GPS unit, keys and a security system monitor.
The Bradford Era (http://bit.ly/1zJVo61) reports that 39-year-old Richard Pounds was arrested Thursday and charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft and criminal mischief.
Elk County Coroner Michelle Muccio (MOO'-chee-oh) says autopsy results on 41-year-old Pamelyn Kopp are pending, but her death does not appear to be connected to the burglary.
Online court records don't list an attorney for Pounds. He remained jailed Friday.
