Prosecutors have rested in the murder trial of a New Jersey man accused of killing 6-year-old New York City boy Etan Patz (AY'-tahn payts) in 1979.
Defense attorneys will begin presenting evidence Monday. The trial is expected to last at least another month.
Prosecutors earlier Friday showed jurors a photo of a little boy crouching in a produce box. It was intended to show Etan's body would have fit into such a box.
The boy who posed is Etan's size and shape but isn't identified. His face is obscured in photos shown to the jurors.
Defendant Pedro Hernandez is from Maple Shade, New Jersey. He told authorities he choked Etan and then put his body in a bag and tossed it in a box.
Etan's body was never found. Defense attorneys say the confession is fiction.
