A Gothic hip-hop artist charged in the death of a London break-dancer she injected with silicone is set to resume testimony at her trial.
Padge-Victoria Windslowe admits she injected 20-year-old Claudia Aderotimi, but says she thought the dancer became ill because she'd been drinking alcohol.
Windslowe, who calls herself the "Michelangelo of buttocks injections," says she started doing "body sculpting" two decades ago to help transgender friends look more feminine and build self-esteem. She says she's worked on thousands of people.
Prosecutors say she recklessly endangered them by practicing medicine without a license.
The 45-year-old Windslowe is charged with third-degree murder in Aderotimi's 2011 death following injections at an airport hotel. She says she learned the process from overseas doctors as she went through sex-reassignment surgery.
Testimony resumes Friday morning.
