A homeowner freed a doe left hanging after it apparently misread a jump and got its leg caught in a wooden fence, OutDoorHub.com reported.

The report did not indicate when the video was shot, or exactly where, but the video shows a man walk to the deer, which is suspended from the fence and wriggling like a fish on a hook.

OutDoorHub said it is common for deer to jump over objects and have been known to jump eight feet in the air. The deer, which was hanging by its right leg, could be heard grunting.

The man in the video attempts to muscle the hoof out, but the leg was wedged in too tight. He put the camera down and walked back to the fence.

"I'm gonna fix it," he said. "I'm gonna fix it."

The man then walked behind the fence and cracked the wooden panel, freeing the deer, which then flees.
