A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after police found the bodies of a man and a child at her home on an Indian reservation in Southern California.
The San Diego County sheriff's department said Saturday the child's body was discovered in a freezer in the garage hidden under frozen food. The man was shot in the chest and wrist. Autopsies are planned.
Thirty-two-year-old Elaina Rose Welch has been booked.
Barona Tribal Enforcement arrived at the home Friday and talked to a man. When he went inside, gunshots were heard.
Barona authorities called sheriff's deputies for help. When deputies and the SWAT team arrived, the woman came out of the house holding a shotgun and walked along a road, where she dropped the weapon.
