Final 2014 News Conference From White House at 1:30pm ET

President Obama is set to give a year end news conference. It's his first since November 5th, and the last we'll likely see of him before he heads to Hawaii to be with family for Christmas. We'll carry it live, and have in-depth analysis.

The President is expected to be asked about several huge news stories including the dramatic change in U.S./Cuba policy, the hack attack on Sony, and frosty relations with the Republicans, and the use of executive action on immigration. The President may also be asked about this year's more successful open enrollment period for the Affordable Care Act.

Mike Emanuel reporting today on the dramatic fall in oil prices, and what it means to the American consumer.

Speaking of oil, the price of crude fell another 2.34 yesterday.. falling below 55$ per barrel.. Prices up slightly overseas today, but set for the fourth weekly drop.. and have fallen by nearly half since June!

Stocks are on fire. Dow was up 421 points yesterday.. up more than 2%.. for its biggest single day in 3 years. S&P and Nasdaq also up by more than 2%.. and volume is heavy. Lauren Simonetti catches us up on it all.

Associated Press reports today the U.S. is not prepared for a nuclear terror attack or large scale disaster. AP obtaining the GAO report that says FEMA isn't prepared even after the 2012 Superstorm Sandy or after Hurricane Katrina.

A major victory against ISIS in Iraq. Kurdish forces have cleared a path to Mt Sinjar.. allowing the escape of a religious minority who'd been trapped there and under siege by ISIS. U.S. and coalition airstrikes played a key role.

Pakistan is in the midst of a terror crackdown.. killing dozens of terrorists in an attack near the Afghan border. At least 67 were killed. It comes just days after Taliban terrorists killed 148 - mostly children - in an attack on a school in Peshawar.

The United States has declared North Korea was "centrally involved" in the hack attack of Sony.. the largest breach of a private company in U.S. history. It is being called an attack on the United States. Jennifer Griffin reports today.. China may also have been involved... as China continues a massive military buildup.

This as the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Ed Royce, says the U.S. should impose drastic new sanctions against the North Koreans for the attack.

New EPA rules on coal ash.. it will be treated like household garbage not like hazardous waste.
