A south-central Pennsylvania police chief says an Amish buggy and a car crashed head-on, injuring four people in the buggy and one person in the automobile.
LNP reported (http://bit.ly/1CFqBrV ) the Wednesday morning crash east of Lancaster resulted in serious injuries, but East Lampeter Township Police Chief John Bowman didn't know the conditions of the five people injured.
The roadway was shut down for about four hours.
It's the latest significant crash involving an Amish buggy in Pennsylvania this year.
An Amish driver was being sought after a buggy was involved in a hit-and-run in New Wilmington in March, a 14-year-old girl driving a buggy was injured in April in Gordonville, and an Amish couple in their 50s was killed in Alexandria in September.
