We're keeping an eye on all the holiday insanity on today the biggest shopping day in America!

Stores are open earlier, (some opened on Tday itself), discounts are bigger, there's new ways retailers are trying to get people into stores including membership promotions, and retailers are hiring more temp workers.. what does it all mean? Peter Doocy reports from Springfield Town Center.

William La Jeunesse reports on the protests expected at Wal-Mart today with workers at 1600 Wal-Marts walking off their jobs to protest low pay and bad benefits.

Keep an eye on stocks.. Markets are open for a half day today after record closes again the day before Thanksgiving. OPEC met yesterday and kept oil prices unchanged.. which has led to a further drop in oil and gas prices! Good news for consumers.

The official White House Christmas Tree is welcomed by the First Lady today. We'll show it live.

1100EST -- First Lady Michelle Obama will welcome the Official White House Christmas Tree to the White House. Mrs. Obama will be presented the Blue Room tree by the Botek family, growers of this year's tree.

Quiet night in Ferguson for the first time since the grand jury announcement that it wouldn't indict Darren Wilson in the Death of Michael Brown. No arrests.

New reporting today suggests the White House and Pentagon are preparing to release additional Guantanamo Bay detainees. President Obama has made it a priority despite protests from lawmakers.
