Temperatures are only in the single-digits in much of Wyoming as an arctic front tightens its grip across the state.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for areas including Casper and Cheyenne. A couple inches of snow are forecast in those areas in addition to the brutal cold.

Temperatures are between 0 and 5 degrees in the eastern two-thirds of Wyoming.

Highs in the 20s are forecast in Jackson Hole and the Upper Green River Basin but those areas will be under a wind chill watch.

The Weather Service predicts lows well below zero in Jackson and Pinedale overnight and gusty winds could push the wind chill down to 35 below zero.

Temperatures across Wyoming are forecast to remain below freezing through the weekend.
