Prosecutors in King County have charged a 72-year-old substitute teacher with three counts of child pornography possession. Court papers say the man's computer was seized after he took it to a shop for repairs and a technician found child porn images while checking to see if he had fixed the problem.

The Seattle Times reports that jail records show Kurtis Kasner of Woodinville remained jailed Monday on $500,000 bail. He was arrested Oct. 15.

A Northshore School District spokeswoman said last week that the district removed Kasner from its substitute pool after being notified by Kirkland police of the accusations he faced.

Court papers say Kasner was a teacher in California for 30 years before working as a substitute teacher here, beginning in 2000.

It was not known late Monday whether Kasner is represented by a lawyer.
