Rally in Ferguson held 3 weeks after Brown's death; attendees say movement just beginning

A few hundred people are gathering again in Ferguson to remember Michael Brown and draw attention to what they say is just the beginning of a movement.

Saturday's rally is being held at West Florissant Avenue where it meets Canfield Drive, the street on which the unarmed black 18-year-old was shot and killed Aug. 9 by white Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson.

People are wearing shirts and carrying signs with slogans such as "hands up, don't shoot," and "we want justice."

St. Louis attorney Jerryl Christmas says the rally is meant to keep Brown's death "in the forefront of America."

There is a muted police presence. Missouri Highway Patrol Capt. Ron Johnson, who's been in charge of security for more than two weeks, is posing for selfies with rally attendees.
