FBI ordered to probe witness-tampering claim in lawsuit seeking Oklahoma City bombing video

A federal judge has ordered the FBI to scrutinize allegations one of its agents pressured a witness not to testify in a trial about videos related to the Oklahoma City bombing.

During a Monday hearing, the judge told FBI attorneys to report the results of the witness-tampering investigation Nov. 13.

Utah lawyer Jesse Trentadue claims the FBI urged a former government operative not to testify, which the agency calls baseless.

Trentadue is trying to convince the judge a video exists showing Timothy McVeigh didn't act alone. The agency says they have done a reasonable search and found no additional, unreleased videos.

The lawsuit ultimately seeks to explain why Trentadue's brother, who resembled a police sketch of a second suspect, was flown to Oklahoma, where he died in a federal holding cell.
