Grand jury indicts 3 people accused of misleading police looking for Massachusetts boy

A grand jury has indicted three people accused of misleading police investigating the disappearance of a 5-year-old Massachusetts boy who later was found dead.

The Worcester (WUS'-tur) district attorney's office says the indictments against Cailey Thibault, Ashley Cormier and Christian Sierra were returned Friday, moving their case to Superior Court.

The three face charges of intimidation of a witness and perjury. They previously pleaded not guilty in District Court.

Jeremiah Oliver in December was reported missing from his home in Fitchburg, 45 miles northwest of Boston. His remains were found in April by the side of roadway in nearby Sterling.

His mother and her boyfriend have pleaded not guilty to charges including reckless endangerment.

The case led to a review of the Department of Children and Families and changes there.
