WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. – Authorities in Florida say roughly $7,000 is missing from an account established for the family of a man who was fatally shot during an argument inside a movie theater.
The Tampa Tribune (http://bit.ly/1p9jsYM) reports investigators with the Pasco County Sheriff's Office are following leads after being alerted by an attorney for the family of 43-year-old Chad Oulson, who was shot Jan. 13 during previews for "Lone Survivor." Retired Tampa police Capt. Curtis Reeves is accused of shooting Oulson. He was released on $150,000 bail in July.
Attorney TJ Grimaldi says the family kept asking the person who set up the fun to "shift the money to us." Then they learned some $7,000 was missing.
Grimaldi says several other organizations also held fundraisers and those funds are not in question.
