3 killed in shooting outside Indiana furniture plant; witness says victims were shot in lot

MONTICELLO, Ind. – A northern Indiana sheriff says three people are dead following a shooting outside a furniture plant.

White County Sheriff Patrick Shafer tells WLFI-TV (http://bit.ly/1ooPIlu ) that two men died at the scene Tuesday. A woman was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Shafer says detectives found a box and a handgun at the shooting scene at Jordan Manufacturing in the city of Monticello (mahn-tuh-SEL'-oh), about 70 miles northwest of Indianapolis.

Authorities were withholding the victims' names. Other details were not immediately available.
