A man accused of hijacking one car, stealing two others and trying to take more during a wild chase west of Denver last week has been charged with 46 crimes, including aggravated robbery and assault.
Thirty-seven-year-old Christopher Sullivan was advised of the charges Wednesday in Jefferson County court.
Police say the string of thefts began when Sullivan and a 17-year-old fled a traffic stop. Over the next two hours, police say they hijacked a car, stole a pickup truck and crashed through a closed garage door in a stolen SUV.
The chase that was captured on helicopter video ended when a deputy and a passerby wrestled him to the ground on a highway.
Court records do not list his attorney.
