A Georgia woman reportedly returned $1,000 she found outside an area bank, completing her “good deed of the day” in the process.

Lauren Rossi, of Wilmington Island, found the money outside a Savannah-area SunTrust branch on Monday, complete with a deposit slip attached to it from the customer who had mistakenly driven away, SavannahNow.com reports.

“I was in the drive-thru at SunTrust depositing some checks and I went to put my money in the slot and I had to open my door and looked down and saw a big stack of cash — like big stack of cash,” said Rossi.

Rossi grabbed the money and returned it to a teller, who thanked her for being honest. Kay Ford, market president of SunTrust, said the customer later returned to pick up the money and was very appreciative.

“Believe it or not, this happens quite frequently,” Ford told the website. “We are blessed with good and honest people in our community.”

Rossi later posted her “good deed of the day” on Facebook, where it quickly attracted attention. She said she’d do the same thing again without thinking twice.

“Definitely if I were to find a wallet, I would contact that person,” she said.
