Police: Suspect killed after Vegas crime spree that included carjacking, 2 home invasions

Police say a suspect is dead and multiple people were wounded in a Las Vegas crime spree that included a carjacking and two home invasions.

KSNV-TV reports the spree began about 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, when a male and a female suspect carjacked a freeway service vehicle that tried to stop and help them.

Authorities say the armed suspects ended up in a neighborhood near Tropicana and Sandhill, where they entered a home and wounded at least two people.

Police say that as officers arrived, the suspects went to a second home and wounded another person.

Officials say police and the male suspect exchanged words before the suspect was fatally shot. The station reports the female suspect was taken into custody.
