Cease Fire? Not So Far

Secretary of State John Kerry made a surprise visit to Israel today. He'll make stops in Jerusalem and the West Bank. He says there's been some progress in negotiations for a cease fire in Gaza. It's been two weeks of intense fighting as Israel tries to root out Hamas terrorists who are lobbing rockets at Israeli civilians. Israel has responded with a ground invasion of Gaza. More than 650 have died from both sides. We've got Fox team coverage.

The bodies of some of those killed in the downing of that Malaysian Airliner in Eastern Ukraine are finally out of Ukraine and headed for the Netherlands. Two aircraft carrying the corpses left eastern Ukraine. The Dutch government has declared today a day of mourning. Dutch investigators are also now on the site of the crash. All 298 aboard were killed when the plane was blown out of the sky by what are believed to be pro-Russian separatists. We're now getting reports two Ukrainian fighter jets were downed by pro-Russian separatists. So much for Russia reigning them in!

Another blow for conventional wisdom this election season. In a primary last night, Georgia Republicans handed 11-term Congressman Jack Kingston a defeat choosing instead first time politician and chicken executive David Perdue to run against Michelle Nunn for U.S. Senate in Georgia.
