U.S. Coast Guard officials say a casino boat with 123 people aboard is stuck on rocks off the coast of Tybee Island, near Savannah.

Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Anthony L. Soto says 96 passengers and 27 crew members are aboard the 174-foot-long vessel The Escapade.

Soto tells The Associated Press that no injuries or medical issues have been reported.

Soto says the Coast Guard's Tybee Island station received reports that the vessel had run aground around midnight Tuesday off the coast of the popular beach destination. He says he's not certain of the details of plans to remove the passengers but that Coast Guard crews are awaiting high tide, which is expected early Wednesday afternoon.

It wasn't known exactly how far off the coast the boat was.
