TOLEDO, Ohio – The attorney for a Roman Catholic priest convicted of killing a nun in 1980 now says that an Ohio nursing home run by nuns hasn't been asked to care for him in his final days.
This comes after the attorney said in a court filing late last week that the Little Sisters of the Poor had agreed to care for the Rev. Gerald Robinson if he were to be released from a prison hospice unit in Columbus.
Robinson's attorney, Richard Kerger, said Tuesday in a new court filing that the Little Sisters of the Poor has not been asked or made a commitment to care for Robinson.
Kerger says the priest is near death and wants to die in his hometown of Toledo.
