A livery cab driver charged a Russian tourist $149 for a 75-foot cab ride to a a terminal in JFK Airport–and then pummeled the passenger after he refused to pay, PAPD cops said.
The 75-year-old victim, from Moscow and speaks limited English, hopped into Wayne Walker’s pathfinder and asked for a ride to Terminal 2 on Friday at about 4 p.m.
The victim was handed the shock of his life when he was hit with the astronomical bill– less than a minute after getting into the vehicle, PAPD cops said.
When the victim refused to pay, Walker allegedly locked all of the doors and refused to let the man out, the sources said.
Moments later, the elderly man emerged from the cabbie’s car with a bloodied face and clothing, screaming for help and police, according the PAPD.
The 5-foot-2, 200 pound Walker, 41, was arrested at the scene.
