Regenia Trevathan said Saturday that Mikayla Capers is still in a "fragile" state after she and her 6-year-old friend P.J. Avitto were attacked June 1 in their Brooklyn building. P.J. died.

Trevathan says Mikayla needs time to heal from the trauma of suffering 16 stab wounds and losing her friend.
