The body of the Indiana teen who jumped into a river in an attempt to save his friend was found Sunday, Fox 59 reported.

Jason K. Moran, 17, jumped into the Blue River to rescue a friend, Sarah May McLevish, 16, when the girl went over the dam on Friday. Three other teens – Michael Chadbourne, 16; Trent Crabb, 17; and Mark Naley, 18 – also jumped into the water to help McLevish.

Four of the five friends were plucked from the river by rescue crews, but Moran remained missing until his body was discovered Sunday.

McLevish and Chadbourne are both in critical condition at a local hospital, and Crabb and Naley were checked out by EMS but had no injuries, according to Fox 59.

Rough waters had initially kept dive teams from continuing their search for Moran, the station reported, but waters had receded enough Sunday for divers to resume a search of the area just below the dam.

Moran’s body was found just after 10 a.m. at the base of the Edinburgh Dam.
