Authorities say two former Long Island high school students have been charged with "making a terrorist threat" against their school on Facebook.

According to a felony complaint, Richard Delpesce and Corinne Terris posted comments about bringing guns to school between Monday night and early Tuesday.

According to Newsday, Terris said in a statement to police that the comments were written in response to Delpesce and were a joke.

She said she graduated from Massapequa High School and had no intention of going on school grounds.

She apologized for making the "stupid comment jokingly."

The pair surrendered to police on Wednesday They were released on their own recognizance after an arraignment where they pleaded not guilty.

Delpesce's Legal Aid attorney couldn't be reached for comment.
