Reading Results from Summer Super Tuesday; Growing Controversy over Sgt. Bergdahl/Taliban Exchange

The scandal over the trade of Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl for five top Taliban continues to rage this morning. The Taliban just released at 17 minute video showing the handover of Bergdahl to U.S. forces in Eastern Afghanistan. The Taliban also released a statement calling it a significant achievement.

There is a Senate hearing this morning on the budget for the military where Sgt Bergdahl could come up in session. It's closed to the press, but we'll stake it out.

The Department of Defense is set to brief lawmakers on the prisoner swap tonight. Members of Congress have been especially angry over the swap. Many say they should have been consulted.

There's new reporting from the Daily Beast that suggests Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had been skeptical of any "deal" to get Bergdahl. That could be an interesting wrinkle in the story.

President Obama departs Warsaw, Poland this morning after commemorating the 25th anniversary of the end of communism in Poland. President Obama gave a speech discussing the future of Eastern Europe. He says with help, democracy in Poland can thrive. He met with Ukraine's President-elect Petro Poroshenko early today. Violence continues to rage in Eastern Ukraine, and while Russia has pulled some troops from the border it remains to be seen what Russia's intentions are for the region.

President Obama travels to Brussels, and will with other EU leaders today. Ed Henry is traveling with the President.

Summer Super Tuesday results are in (at least some of them.)

In Iowa, insurgent Republican Joni Ernst captured the GOP nomination. She's got a good chance of taking the seat for the GOP from the Dems in November. In Mississippi it's still too close to call. Tea Party versus mainstream GOP. Stay tuned. Carl Cameron, John Roberts will wrap the election news.

A taxi driver accused of helping the Boston marathon bombers will be arraigned today on charges of lying to investigators and trying to destroy evidence. Molly Line reporting.

There was an outbreak of severe weather including flooding, hail and possible tornadoes. Garrett Tenney reports on the mess from Chicago and Rick Reichmuth is in the extreme weather center.

We get ADP employment numbers today. We'll watch stocks.

It's the 25th anniversary of the Chinese crackdown on pro-democracy protesters in Tiananmen Square. The White House is paying tribute to the murdered, jailed and disappeared protesters.
