LAS VEGAS – A former housemate of a man accused of killing his dancer girlfriend told a jury the defendant acknowledged choking her until she stopped breathing.
Jason Omar Griffith's close friend, Louis Colombo, said Tuesday that Griffith told him he put a plastic shopping bag over Deborah Flores Narvaez' head to see if she was breathing, but she wasn't.
Flores was a dancer in the Luxor hotel-casino's "Fantasy" revue.
Colombo described in detail helping with botched efforts to dispose of Flores' body in tubs of concrete after her death in December 2010.
Colombo is expected to face tough questioning from defense attorneys about getting immunity for cooperating with prosecutors.
Griffith was arrested in January 2011. He has pleaded not guilty to murder. He could face life in prison if convicted.
