A Dallas man whose sentence of probation, only, for raping a 14-year-old schoolmate sparked public outrage is due to appear before a new judge in the case to learn the conditions of his freedom.

It's believed that State District Judge Carter Thompson can't add prison time to the sentence of defendant Sir Young at his hearing later Thursday. But prosecutors wan Thompson to tighten the conditions of Young's probation.

State District Judge Jeanine Howard recused herself from the case after drawing widespread criticism for sentencing Young to 5 years of probation and questioning whether the victim was embellishing her story.

Young admitted to raping the girl at their Dallas high school. Howard said Young deserved to avoid prison time and the girl "wasn't the victim she claimed to be."
