Four men have been indicted in Minnesota on federal charges alleging that they kidnapped and tortured two men they suspected of stealing drugs and money from a so-called stash house in St. Paul.
Court papers say the kidnappers released their victims, but not before nearly severing one victim's finger while interrogating him in a house controlled by a Mexican drug cartel. The documents say the four men suspected the victims stole or knew who stole about 30 pounds of methamphetamine and $200,000 from the house.
The two Los Angeles men and two St. Paul men were indicted on one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. One was also indicted on a gun charge.
Court documents don't say which drug cartel controlled the house. Federal prosecutors declined to comment.
