A nurse will serve 30 days in jail for failing to report child abuse or neglect of an Ohio teenager who had cerebral palsy and weighed 28 pounds when she died of malnutrition.

Montgomery County's prosecutor says a juvenile court judge on Wednesday sentenced Kathryn Williams to 180 days, with 150 days suspended. The judge also sentenced the Englewood woman to 160 hours of community service and a year's probation after the 2011 death of 14-year-old Makayla Norman.

Williams also received probation in adult court for failing to provide for a functionally impaired person.

Norman's mother, a doctor and two other nurses were also convicted of charges involving the girl's death.

Authorities say Williams was supposed to conduct Norman's health assessments. Her attorney didn't immediately return a phone message.
