Horrible news from Fort Hood, Texas where a shooter rampaged through the Texas Army post killing three people and injuring 16 others before killing himself. Echoes of the 2009 Fort Hood shooting that left 13 dead and 30 injured. Apparently the shooter was a soldier being assessed for PTSD. He had sought help for depression and other problems. He was an Iraq War veteran. He does not reportedly have ties to terrorism.

The Senate Intel Committee expected to release a secret report on President Bush-era terror interrogations. It's expected to be critical of waterboarding and other techniques used in the aftermath of 9/11.
Another big earthquake in Chile. This one was 7.6 and is considered an aftershock of the 8.2 that hit earlier this week. No new death reports. At least six are dead. William La Jeunesse reporting.
