A speeding train in Georgia slammed into a tractor trailer early Wednesday morning and pushed the trailer about a half mile down the track.

The train accident forced traffic to be redirected Wednesday morning.  According to authorities, the accident happened near Downtown Acworth when a "crew cab hauling truck" got stuck on the train tracks.

Acworth Police Chief Captain Cheatham said "a large truck pulling a large furniture trailer got stuck on the railroad tracks." According to Cheatham, a CSX train struck the trailer caused furniture to be strewn all around the area, MyFoxAtlanta.com reported.

The driver of the truck was cited for failure to obey railroad grade crossing, the report said.

No injuries were reported.
