Members of a Girl Scouts troop and their moms are getting credit for helping cops nab a couple of shoplifters at a Houston supermarket.

The girls were selling Girl Scout cookies outside a HEB grocery store when they noticed a man acting suspiciously as he wheeled a cart full of loose items out of the store.

“He was stealing a lot of stuff,” said Girl Scout Hailey Matthews, told KPRC Wednesday.

They contacted store employees who called cops. They arrested the man and a cohort for stealing about $2,000 worth of goods, including wine, appliances and groceries.

“We caught the bad guy,” Hailey said.

The troop also got thanks from HEB employees who bought lots of boxes of cookies.
