Police in the town of Surprise have equipped all their patrol officers with a body-worn camera.

Surprise police initially purchased 61 TASER AXON cameras last August.

That purchase provided cameras to the majority of Surprise's patrol force. An additional buy of 19 cameras in November put a camera on every patrol officer.

Police say recordings captured by the cameras will be used as evidence in investigations and ultimately in the courtroom during trial.

They say the video and sound from the cameras has been a useful tool for administrators to resolve complaints against officers.
