Officials at Texas State University say students have been evacuated after a bomb threat to one of its dormitories.

KXAN.com reports that a campus-wide alert was sent out by university police just before 2 a.m. CST on Tuesday. Police shut down the streets around College Inn, a nine-floor dorm at the west end of the central campus that houses 230 students.

Police tell the station that students have been safely evacuated, but would not elaborate on how many or from which buildings. It was unclear Tuesday morning where they were being taken.
