NY judge orders unsealing of claims on SAC ex-trader's tainted Harvard Law School records

A New York judge has ordered court documents to be released relating to disciplinary proceedings at Harvard Law School against a former money manager facing charges.

U.S. District Judge Paul Gardephe (GAHR'-duh-fee) ordered Thursday that the documents be unsealed. The insider trading trial of former SAC Capital Advisors employee Mathew Martoma is about to start.

Martoma, of Boca Raton, Fla., is accused of persuading a medical professor to leak secret data from an Alzheimer's disease trial.

The New York Times reports Martoma was expelled from Harvard Law in 1999 for creating a false transcript of his grades.

Martoma representatives did not immediately respond to messages for comment.

Stamford, Conn.-based SAC has agreed to settle other insider trading charges. Billionaire founder Steven A. Cohen hasn't been charged criminally but faces civil claims.
