Lawyers for a California hospital and the family of a 13-year-old girl declared brain dead after sleep apnea surgery have finished hammering out procedures for moving the girl to another facility.
The two sides emerged from a settlement conference Friday night with a federal magistrate offering few details about their day-long talks.
But Christopher Dolan, who represents Jahi McMath's mother, says he is pleased with the progress that was made.
He says Jahi's family now has clarity on what it needs to do to get the girl out of Children's Hospital, where doctors have been arguing that it's time to remove her from the ventilator that is keeping her heart pumping.
The girl's uncle, Omari Sealey, says the family won't say any more about their plans until she is resettled.
