Police in California are still attempting to identify a woman who was struck and critically injured while crossing a busy street two and a half months ago.
The woman was struck by a car in Santa Ana in October as she pushed a shopping cart through an intersection, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The shopping cart had the woman's belongings inside it, leading officers to believe she might be homeless, Cpl. Anthony Bertagna, spokesman for the Santa Ana Police Department, told the Los Angeles Times.
“But until we find out who she is, we will not know that,” Bertagna said.
The woman has been unable to communicate.
Her fingerprints were compared to local, state and federal databases, but there have been no matches.
She does match any missing persons descriptions in Santa Ana, the Los Angeles Times reported.
