The sisters-in-law of dead Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev (TAM'-ehr-luhn tsahr-NEYE'-ehv) have testified before a federal grand jury looking into the deadly attack.
Amato DeLuca, a lawyer for the family of Tsarnaev's widow, tells The Associated Press that Anna and Rebecca Russell testified Thursday afternoon in Boston.
A spokeswoman for the U.S. attorney's office would not say whether they had testified. She would not comment on whether Tsarnaev's widow, Katherine Russell, is being investigated.
DeLuca tells the AP that the sisters had no suspicions about Tsarnaev or his brother, Dzhokhar (joh-HAHR'), who is charged with helping to orchestrate the April 15 bombing.
The lawyer says he believes prosecutors are calling everyone with any possible information about the brothers because of the nature of the case. Russell's parents testified in September.
