That from President Obama in a contrite news conference that happened during "Happening Now" yesterday. If you saw it, you know the President appeared somewhat defeated as he admitted to glaring problems with the rollout and implementation of his signature domestic achievement.
The President announced a legislative fix to the problem of individuals getting their insurance cancelled. He ordered insurance companies to extend policies that have been cancelled by one year. It is unclear if the insurance companies will follow that order, or if the President even has that authority.
Today Congress gets a chance to send the President a message. A bill from Republican Congressman Fred Upton called "Keep Your Health Plan Act," will hit the House floor for debate. It has already been sponsored by 130 members. It goes much further than the President's legislative fix. The President has said he would veto the Upton bill. Mike Emanuel reporting.
The death toll from that horrible typhoon in the Philippines continues to rise. Now past 3,600 and rising. Choppers from a U.S. aircraft carrier and other naval ships began flying food, water and medicine to hard hit areas. David Piper and William La Jeunesse reporting.
