Gas pipeline explosion in Texas forces evacuations

Authorities in Ellis County, Texas are asking some people to evacuate following a gas pipeline explosion.

County officials said a second pipeline in the area is reportedly in danger, according to MyFoxDFW.com. There were no reports of injuries.

Residents in Milford and the nearby towns of Italy and Maypearl were among those asked to evacuate.

Students in Milford have been transported to schools in Italy.

Large flames could be seen rising from an open field after the explosion, which happened around 10 a.m. local time, MyFoxDFW.com reports.
