A Massachusetts couple accused of killing their 5-month-old daughter by giving her a bottle of formula with heroin in it have been charged with manslaughter.
Quincy residents Ryan Barry and Ashley Cyr (sehr) were arrested Friday. They've pleaded not guilty and been ordered held on $200,000 cash bail.
The couple's daughter Mya Barry died in 2011 when the family lived in nearby Marshfield.
Police say they found the baby on the living room floor with her grandmother performing CPR on her. They say 3 grams of heroin and hypodermic needles were on a bedroom shelf.
An autopsy determined the baby died from opiate poisoning.
Prosecutors say Barry told police he'd seen Cyr snort heroin off a Dr. Seuss book and leave the book on the floor where their kids could get at it.
