#NYFW Ralph Rucci Spring 2014 Show - One Word? Expensive

Last night was the Ralph Rucci show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Rucci showed his attention to detail again this season with impeccable fit and tailoring. Black, white and nude were the dominate colors with splashes of coral, bronze and silver. The models were truckin' down the runway in a show that was fast-paced and featured a lot of looks.

Especially strong outfits included the white paillette tunic gown, a white feathered dress and a silver paillette piece. Also beatiful was a bronze dress with large discs.

Slits on dresses and skirts were high.. to go along with the luxe prices of Rucci's clothing. Prices are not for the faint of heart, and the crowd reflected that. Lots of Upper East side ladies who lunch, and a smattering of San Francisco's social elite showed up too.

It was a fashion industry insider-dominated audience which included Iris Apfel, Andre Leon Talley, Linda Fargo from Bergdorf Goodman, Martha Stewart, Cindy Adams from the New York Post, and Fashion Week founder Fran Mallis.
