Philadelphia Police have arrested an 18-year-old whom they say shot his childhood friend execution-style over a stolen video game console.

Malik Anderson was arrested Wednesday and charged with murder after allegedly luring 19-year-old Daquan Crump to a demolition site and shooting him 10 times with a .22-caliber gun. According to MyFoxPhilly.com, investigators say that Anderson has confessed to the crime and is cooperating with investigators.

Philadelphia Police Homicide Detective James Clark told reporters that the killing stemmed from Anderson being angry at Crump after the latter stole a mutual friend's used Playstation 3 video game console and sold it on the street for $60. Anderson became furious when he was cut out of the deal, according to Clark.

"In their mind, this is worth a human life," Clark said. "Because I didn't get a cut of a $60 profit from a used Playstation game, I'm gonna stand over top and shoot a kid I've been friend with since I was 10, 11 years old."

Crump disappeared after leaving his job at a fast food restaurant on August 17. His body was found two days later at the demolition site in Northeast Philadelphia, approximately a mile from his home. At the time, police believed that the crime was personal in nature due to its viciousness.
