Authorities say a small plane has crashed at a municipal airport in southeastern Massachusetts, killing two people.

Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen says federal officials were told by local authorities that the plane crashed at Taunton Municipal Airport at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday. She says authorities are trying to determine the type of the aircraft.

The FAA is investigating.

Officials at Taunton Municipal Airport didn't immediately return a phone message seeking comment.
