Palm Beach International Airport was partially evacuated -- and then shuttered -- Saturday after officials heard an anxiety-inducing beeping sound emitting from luggage at a ticket counter.

According to the Palm Beach Post, authorities investigated, but they found the source of all the frayed nerves and emergency action was a regular alarm clock.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal team responded to the airport and remained on scene for about 2 ½ hours, according to the paper.

In all, two floors of the airport were cleared and closed in relation to the luggage at the Silver Airways ticket counter, and some flights were delayed until passengers could again proceed through check-in.
