BLUFFTON, S.C. – Authorities are investigating the death of a Bluffton man following a golf cart accident.
The Island Packet of Hilton Head reports 77-year-old Donald James Lorber was driving his golf cart on a road in Sun City Hilton Head earlier this week when the accident occurred.
The golf cart veered off the road and hit the bumper of a car and then a small tree. The Highway Patrol says Lorber fell out of the cart and was found next to it.
He died the next day at an area hospital. An autopsy is planned to determine whether the accident caused the death or death was from some other cause.
