Pennsylvania family reportedly finds dead frog in bag of greens

It was enough to make you croak.

A Pennsylvania family reportedly found the body of a dead frog in a pre-washed bag of greens from the grocery store.

According to Pittsburgh.CBSLocal.com, Gail Cooke was preparing the bagged greens for a Fourth of July meal and noticed what she thought was a shriveled leaf.

Then she saw the frog.

"I screamed actually," Cooke told Pittsburgh.CBSLocal.com. "I was shocked. I screamed, 'There's a frog in the greens!'"

Cooke's sister-in-law, Collissa Williams, said the bag contained kale greens from Glory Foods and was purchased at the Giant Eagle. The store offered Williams a refund.

A Glory Foods spokesperson described the incident as "isolated."

Glory Foods also offered Williams some coupons, the site reported.

Williams said she is thankful that Cooke noticed the frog before it got to the table, but that the incident spoiled their holiday.
