Reputed members of Bonnano family indicted in NYC and accused of loan sharking, extortion

NEW YORK – Authorities in Manhattan say they've arrested a crew that's part of an infamous crime family.

Nine people are indicted on enterprise corruption charges. Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. says they're members of the Bonanno crime family.

Vance calls it a "classic" case of mob activity. The suspects are accused of loan sharking, drug sales, gambling and extortion. They were awaiting arraignment Tuesday afternoon.
