The FBI has joined the investigation into the death of a girl, believed to be about 5 years old, whose body was found Monday night wrapped in a tarp in the middle of an intersection just north of Fort Worth, Texas.

The body was discovered by several children. The girl was bound at the feet and legs and her only item of clothes was a pair of purple underwear, MyFoxDFW.com reported.

The girl’s identity was not released, but authorities have executed a search warrant at a home in Saginaw, about a half mile from where the body was discovered, the report said.

Police are questioning her parents, the station reported. There are no suspects.

Investigators are looking for a red truck witnesses reported seeing near the crime scene. It has green paint splattered on the passenger side quarter panel.

Damon Ing, a spokesman from the Saginaw Police Department, told FoxNews.com that the body has been identified, but the name will not be released until an autopsy scheduled for Tuesday morning is performed.
